Junior High Bryan
Dark chocolate bonbon with gold leaf, salted caramel & edible violet
He still refers to 'junior high Brian' — a version of himself that has not disappeared so much as been managed
Why this bite? Bryan's confidence is constructed over managed insecurity. This golden bonbon is doubt transformed into art.
The Story
Rafanelli admits that 'junior high Brian' — insecure, driven, not always convinced he belonged — has never fully disappeared. The confidence that defines his work is constructed, reinforced through preparation, systems, and repetition. This dark chocolate bonbon is that transformation: a polished exterior built over something molten and vulnerable, finished with gold leaf because what you build on top of doubt can be spectacular.
