The Reunion Instinct
Southern deviled egg with smoked paprika, chive blossom & edible violet — the room where you remember who you belong to
People left knowing who they belonged to.
Why this bite? Jennifer learned from family reunions that the most powerful rooms operate on recognition. This deviled egg is belonging made edible.
The Story
Jennifer Collins grew up inside family reunions that were not social events but structural ones. Atlanta was the axis. Her grandmother was one of ten siblings. People traveled intentionally. Stories were retold. Music filled rooms without rehearsal. What she absorbed was reinforcement — people left knowing who they belonged to. This southern deviled egg, fragrant with paprika and crowned with an edible violet, is that recognition: familiar, grounding, and designed to remind you where you come from.
