The Second Act
A one-inch saffron rice crisp with molten Gruyère & sage brown butter — the obvious choice cracked open
The more destabilizing question was: what exactly am I supposed to build now — and why.
Why this bite? Terrence nearly made an emotional investment. This arancini — golden outside, surprising inside — is the moment he cracked open the obvious choice.
The Story
O'Dwyer had three roads: start from nothing, acquire an existing business, or join something already in motion. He moved toward acquiring a mental health company — meaningful, adjacent, seductive. Then he stopped. The business satisfied a narrative about who he might want to be, but not the underlying pattern of how he actually operates. This golden arancini with a molten center is that moment of cracking open the obvious choice and finding something different inside.
