The activation builder needs to know what the rental company carries before she can design; the caterer needs to know where the tables land; the AV team needs the tent's ceiling height; the florist works around the linen color. Every discipline builds on what the rental company has decided to own — and when its systems fail, the failure travels outward through every node. This split-base cocktail is balanced the same way: tequila and mezcal, citrus, and a touch of sweet each contingent on the others, no single element standing alone — the connective tissue of the glass.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz blanco tequila
- 0.5 oz mezcal
- 0.75 oz lime juice
- 0.5 oz agave syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Lime wheel
Preparation
- 1.Shake tequila, mezcal, lime, agave, and salt with ice.
- 2.Strain over fresh ice.
- 3.Taste for balance — each element must hold the others.
- 4.Garnish with a lime wheel.
