The Shakespeare Stage
Red wine mulled with fig, rosemary & star anise — stagecraft in a glass
Shakespeare was written to be heard. The lesson followed him into an entirely different industry.
Why this cocktail? Shakespeare taught Sam that events are stagecraft. This aromatic mulled wine is that lesson — warm, layered, orchestrated.
The Story
A Shakespeare seminar at UC Santa Barbara taught Sam that great productions are orchestrated, not scripted. He saw lighting designers adjusting cues, stagehands moving props in darkness — the ecosystem that makes an audience believe a world has appeared. This mulled red wine with fig and rosemary is that theatrical education: warm, aromatic, layered with the spices of stagecraft.
