The Show Floor Manhattan
Rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, Angostura & a brandied cherry — built for booth renewal conversations
Show management offices sometimes had bars in them — trust was built by sitting still long enough
Why this cocktail? Walter learned the trade in Manhattan offices with bars in them. The rye Manhattan is the drink of that era.
The Story
In the old exhibition world, show management offices sometimes had bars in them. Trust was built by sitting still with someone long enough for the conversation to turn real. This rye Manhattan — the drink of those oak-paneled conversations — is the fuel of an era when handshakes closed deals and aisle widths altered perception.
