The Vision Before the Crisis
A slow-built, make-ahead cocktail that rewards the work done before it's needed — clarity prepared in advance
The EIC's board completed its vision work in the fall of 2019. Six months later, the world shut down.
Why this cocktail? She did the vision work before the pandemic hit and had something to anchor to. This make-ahead cocktail rewards preparation done in advance.
The Story
She started a listening tour and commissioned visioning work with her chair and past chair, asking the harder question: why does this organization exist? The board finished that work in the fall of 2019. Six months later, the pandemic took everything off the table — and she had something to anchor to. Do the hard thinking before the crisis arrives; you will need it. This cocktail is made the same way: a clarified, infused base prepared days ahead so that when the moment comes, the work is already done.
Ingredients
- 2 oz clarified milk punch base (made ahead)
- 0.5 oz rich demerara syrup
