The Quiet Rigor
White asparagus velouté in a demitasse with truffle oil & chive
Editorial restraint can be as powerful as assertion
Why this bite? Michelle learned at Random House that restraint is power. This minimalist velouté says more with less.
The Story
At Random House, Michelle learned that editorial restraint can be as powerful as assertion. She loved ideas deeply yet preferred working in tighter frames — magazines over books, one idea at a time made legible without flattening it. This white asparagus velouté in a tiny cup is that editorial philosophy: restrained, refined, and saying more with less.
