Dahlia's first events were improvised in the Egyptian desert — camel races under a full moon, dinners on stolen mattress pads under the stars. This arak-based cocktail captures that origin story: the anise spirit of the Middle East, pomegranate from the Nile Valley, and rose water that perfumes the night air.

Ingredients

• 2 oz arak
• 1 oz pomegranate juice
• 0.5 oz rose water syrup
• 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
• Crushed ice
• Pomegranate seeds
• Rose petal

Preparation

1. 1.Shake arak, pomegranate, rose water syrup, and lime with ice.
2. 2.Strain over crushed ice.
3. 3.Garnish with pomegranate seeds and a rose petal.
4. 4.Serve under moonlight if possible.
