Rye old fashioned with maple, toasted caraway & orange peel — a 2:30 AM bread-truck toast
Full shelves move product. Show up on the days they don't.
Why this cocktail? It's the predawn bread-truck toast — substantial, unhurried, made for the people who show up.
The Story
Ryan's father stocked Martin's Potato Rolls before sunrise while competitors dropped and left. This rye old fashioned is that shift in a glass — rye and caraway for New Jersey bakery air, maple for the slow sweetness of work nobody is watching, and orange peel for the first light coming up over the parking lot.
