The Voyage Encore (Zero Proof)
A translucent ruby lingonberry-and-apple sparkler with a single glossy berry resting in the crystal coupe — a Swedish encore, poured in miniature
Greg wants to see ABBA Voyage in London. This is an anticipation toast, not a record of attendance.
Why this sip? A Swedish-inspired sparkler for his ABBA Voyage wish, built around his favorite water.
The Story
The former rock musician still wants a good night out. This is the encore before the encore: lingonberry cordial and crisp apple cut with the mineral-water bubbles Greg already loves, poured into the tray's shared crystal coupe until it glows like stage light through ruby glass. A single glossy lingonberry settles at the base of each pour — one small jewel holding its place until the music starts. No invented favorite cocktail, no claim he has seen the show; just a little Swedish excitement for a night he wants, in a glass small enough to keep the evening light.
Ingredients
- 60 ml lingonberry cordial (or cranberry cordial)
- 120 ml clear apple juice
- 180 ml chilled sparkling mineral water
- 12 glossy lingonberries or cranberries, optional
Preparation
- 1.Mix cordial and apple juice; chill well alongside the sparkling water.
- 2.Chill twelve petite crystal tasting coupes — the same glass used across this flight.
- 3.Divide the ruby base between the coupes, 15 ml each, and top with 15 ml mineral water so the bubbles thread upward through the color. Rest one glossy berry in each coupe and serve at once.
