The Relational Economy
A shared-format spritz — bitter aperitivo, sparkling wine and grapefruit, built for two glasses from one carafe
The broadcast economy gave way to the attention economy, and the attention economy is over. What comes next runs on connection, not reach.
Why this cocktail? The attention economy is over; what's next runs on bonds. One carafe, two glasses, poured for someone else.
The Story
Karam's read on the arc is blunt: everyone is done with attention, and what replaces it is relational — bonding ties, not the billion shallow bridges the internet mints daily. She points at the World Cup, a country that does not love soccer bonded anyway, and the ache that followed. This drink refuses to be drunk alone: one carafe, two glasses, poured by someone else for someone else.
