Still in the Room
English bitter old fashioned with marmalade, oak bitters & orange peel — presence in a glass
Presence vs remote — the leader who believes being there is the job
Why this cocktail? Paul believes presence is the job. This bitter, patient old fashioned is the leader who never dials it in.
The Story
Paul Miller's leadership begins with showing up. Not virtually. Not through a proxy. Physically in the room. This English-inflected old fashioned — bitter for the honesty of physical labor, marmalade for the sweetness that comes from earning trust in person, oak bitters for the patience of someone who grew up on a farm — is presence distilled into a glass. You can't dial this one in.
