Deeper Than Scale
Rye, dark maple and birch smoke in a heavy rocks glass — the Canadian conversation in a glass
"I think that Canadians are much deeper in the way we communicate. There's always a desire for intimacy, there's always a desire for deep connections." Tomorrowland-scale gatherings simply do not take root the same way.
Why this cocktail? Intimacy over scale. A dark, slow drink built for a table of two.
The Story
It is the distinction she has spent thirty years trying to put her finger on and has finally, mostly, named: not smaller because there are fewer people, but closer because closeness is the point. This is the drink for a two-person table rather than a stadium — dark, slow, unhurried, with a wisp of birch smoke that only the person holding it can smell.
