The Blue Giraffe
Blue cheese & honey fig phyllo bite with edible flowers and gold leaf
For the girl who convinced her classmates blue giraffes were real
Why this bite? Dahlia's childhood tribe was called the Blue Giraffes — she learned early that if you believe hard enough and explain well, impossible things become real.
The Story
As a child in Cairo, Dahlia El Gazzar was decoding hieroglyphics in second grade — not from a textbook, but because her teachers believed knowledge lived in people, stories, and streets. In her color-coded learning tribe called the 'Blue Giraffes,' she learned the art of convincing skeptics that impossible things could be real. That tension — the dreamer facing the naysayer — became the stage she works from to this day. This whimsical phyllo bite, adorned with blue flowers and gold leaf, captures the magic of believing in what others can't yet see.
