The Story
Mason commissioned Oxford Economics to study twenty thousand associations and finally quantify the pillar of the American economy that had been deliberately modest about its own scale — 1.1 million jobs, $71.4 billion in wages, 52 million event participants a year. She handed the number to fifty thousand association executives and said: now go use it. She is not simply a CEO; she is the role model for the people who run the gatherings. This tiered petit four, finished with edible gold, is that wholesale-scale impact made small: one refined bite that stands for a giant the world never bothered to measure.
Ingredients
- Almond sponge
- Vanilla buttercream
- Apricot glaze
- Fondant
- Edible gold leaf
- Toasted almond
Preparation
- 1.Layer almond sponge with vanilla buttercream and apricot glaze.
- 2.Cut into 1" tiered squares and enrobe in fondant.
- 3.Apply edible gold leaf to one corner.
- 4.Top with a sliver of toasted almond.
