The Laziest Moderator
A savory vegetable tartlet with roasted roots, goat cheese & thyme — so good it runs itself
'I am the laziest moderator you've ever met. If I'm talking, we're in trouble.'
Why this bite? Femi's signature line: 'I'm the laziest moderator you've ever met.' This tartlet runs itself — the ingredients do the talking.
The Story
Femi Oke tells every panel the same joke: 'I am the laziest moderator you've ever met. This is the hardest I'm going to work. I don't want to have to talk. If I'm talking, we're in trouble.' The speakers laugh — and then, because they've been told they're in charge, they start behaving like it. This tartlet works the same way: roasted roots and goat cheese do all the talking, the pastry just holds them together, and the thyme adds a quiet note you only notice after the conversation is already going.
