The Four Shocks
A four-spirit boilermaker flight — Lehman, COVID, the bubble, and AI — survived in four sips
Four once-in-a-generation economic shocks in eighteen years. Most operators would have been knocked out by one.
Why this cocktail? Four economic shocks in eighteen years, all survived. Four escalating pours, taken in order.
The Story
He arrived in London the month Lehman fell. He sold his media business six months before COVID. He watched the virtual-events bubble collapse from inside the unicorn that briefly defined it. He is now positioned three years early at the front of the AI rupture. Four dislocations of the twenty-first century, and he kept the platform alive through all four. This is the survivor's flight — four small, escalating pours, each one named for a shock, each one taken and absorbed. He is one of the very few whose career maps cleanly onto all four. You drink them in order. You stay standing.
