The Kitchen Command Center
Zero-proof: strong cold-brew tea, lemon, honey and a long orange twist — the pandemic desk that proved flexibility is infrastructure
Three children, long commutes from Bernardsville into New York, and a pandemic that turned her kitchen into a command center: "Flexibility matters. Empathy matters. People perform when they feel trusted."
Why this cocktail? Her kitchen became the command center. Zero-proof, clear-headed, kind — flexibility as infrastructure.
The Story
The lesson she took from running a global business out of her own kitchen is that flexibility is not a perk to be granted but infrastructure to be built, the same as trussing or power distribution. This is the zero-proof pour for the person still working at that table — clear-headed, bracing, sweetened just enough to be kind.
