The Bull Moose Manhattan
Rye whiskey, sweet vermouth & walnut bitters with a brandied cherry
For the adventurer who formed his own political party
The Story
Theodore Roosevelt was as bold as they come — charging up San Juan Hill, exploring the Amazon, and forming the Progressive 'Bull Moose' Party when the Republicans wouldn't have him. This Manhattan is built with the muscular rye whiskey TR would have approved of, fortified with walnut bitters that evoke the dark forests he fought to preserve, and finished with a brandied cherry as bold as the man himself.
