The Two-Thousand-Seat Room
A precise gin martini in a Nick & Nora — small glass, single olive, no compromise
'I would rather invest in a 2,000-person show that's relevant than a 20,000-person show that's becoming obsolete.'
Why this cocktail? A martini is a vertical show. Small, intentional, vouched-for, and impossible to dilute without destroying it.
The Story
There is no cocktail more vertical than a martini. No room for filler, no top with soda, no shareable format. Either the gin is right, the vermouth is restrained, and the olive is good — or the whole thing collapses. This is Marco's two-thousand-seat thesis poured into a Nick & Nora: the small glass that says, we don't need to be big to be the most important thing in the room.
