The Vesuvio Soil
Aperol-Negroni hybrid with charcoal-salted rim & blood orange peel — volcanic, fertile, slow
Vesuvio Ventures — Miami, named for the soil that fertilizes the Gulf of Naples.
Why this cocktail? Negroni for the bitter discipline of investing, charcoal rim for volcanic soil, blood orange for what grows out of it.
The Story
Marco named his fund Vesuvio because the soil at the foot of the volcano grows the best tomatoes in Italy. This Negroni variant rims the glass with activated charcoal salt — the volcanic crust — and uses Aperol alongside Campari to soften the bitter into something fruit-forward. The dark ice sphere at center is the magma. The blood orange peel on top is the harvest.
