    The Empty Chair

Open-faced tartlet with seasonal vegetables, leaving the center artfully empty

Always leave an empty chair — every conversation should be open enough for someone new to join

Why this bite? Tahira's rule: always leave an empty chair. This tartlet's open center is an invitation, not an oversight.

    The Story

One rule Tahira brought back from the College of Extraordinary Experiences: always leave an empty chair. Every conversation should be open enough for someone new to join. This open-faced tartlet arranges seasonal vegetables in a ring, deliberately leaving the center empty — an invitation, not an oversight. The most important space is the one that's still available.
